Tromsø Safari

Best Kept Secret: Scenery – Activity

Not far away from Tromsø in a hidden fjord, you will find an Arctic paradise that remains largely untouched. This is where we offer you Tromsø’s best kept secret, consisting of the best North Norwegian hospitality and warmth at the end of the road, where the scenery is at its wildest and best. Our Scenery and Activity Tour includes guided snowshoeing, snow activities and Sami culture. This is a great choice for those who want to explore more and experience wild nature, culture and North Norwegian elements. The tour starts with a scenic drive between mountains and wild nature. At the end of the road, you will have the best view of the majestic Lyngen Alps. On arrival, we learn how to use snowshoes and then walk up one of the smaller summits. You will be rewarded with great views of the majestic surrounding mountains, providing the weather allows us to see them. We stop during the snowshoeing trek to rest, enjoy snow activities, take photos and inform you about our magical place  and the Arctic environment. During a longer break, we visit the site of a former Sami camp and learn a little about Sami history. While here, we serve hot drinks and snacks.

Alternative tour: If the snow conditions are unsuitable for snowshoeing, we will offer this tour on foot or choose another walk and activities in our beautiful part of Northern Norway.
