Coastal Scenery and History Safari
Come and join a safari to Tromsø’s stunning coastal landscape full of mountains, fjords and islands, and not least, exciting history going back more than 9,000 years. The safari includes visits to the beautiful island of Sommarøy and Tove`s Glass Art and cafe.
As well as dramatic scenery, you will find traces of settlement going back thousands of years. Who were the people who came before us? Why did they come? Where did they live and how did they survive? Our dedicated and knowledgeable guide will answer these questions and many more in detail during the trip. The culture and settlement in these areas today is also very interesting with modern fish farms alongside traditional fishing boats.
This exciting safari combines nature and culture so you will get the best of both worlds. We will make many stops along the way so you can touch, feel and take pleasure in the dramatic scenery, as well as fill up your memory card.
We have an extended stop at Tove’s Glass Art to enjoy Tromsø’s best waffles and experience the paradise Tove and her husband have created for themselves and their guests virtually in the middle of nowhere.
