Tromsø Island Safari by RIB
Fast, exciting and crazy fun! Come and join us for a speedy boat trip on the sea around Tromsø.
Seeing the city, mountains, fjords and the picturesque Arctic landscape by boat is a wonderful experience. Travelling by rigid inflatable boat (RIB) is lots of fun and adds an extra dimension.
The trip heads south passing Telegrafbukta, Tromsø’s very own beach and a popular place to meet, including during the Bukta Open Air Festival, which takes place in mid-July every year. We then head around the flat island of Grindøya, which is part of a nature reserve established in 1995 due to the area’s rich bird life and botanical variation. Next we head to the island of Håkøya, where the German battleship Tirpitz was anchored on the southern tip from 15 October 1944 until it was sunk by English bombers on 12 November 1944.
This trip offers excellent opportunities for photography, so remember to bring a camera.
